Virtual Event my roles: concepts / scripts / creative direction
Partnering with Netflix and CD Projekt Red, we created the world’s first pop-up fan convention: a limited-time, semi-exclusive fan experience, custom tailored for one specific audience: fans of The Witcher. Introducing… WitcherCon.
Announcement Teaser To announce this first-time ever event we dropped a surprise hype piece for the Con, featuring a mash-up of our two grunting Geralts.
WitcherCon On the day of this worldwide event we streamed a live-to-tape three hour virtual fan convention on Twitch and YouTube Live, featuring panels, interviews, sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes videos, musical performances, product releases, and much more. At the conclusion, the event then streamed again - with some all-new content added - so fans in other time zones across the world could also experience the convention “live”.
The Deck of Destiny Hosted by Witcher superfan Julia Hardy, our first panel took the spirit of a q&a comic-con panel and gave it an intriguing twist via the “Deck of Destiny”. These Witcher-themed cards held thoughtful questions to keep the conversation both entertaining & revelatory.
Geralt of T-Rivia In this pub quiz-style battle of the Witcher masterminds, Netflix showrunners & CD Projekt Red developers teamed up to test their Witcher knowledge.
The game was a mixture of playful banter, trivia knowledge, and pictionary skill, keeping the panel entertaining & interactive.
Tales From the White Wolf Henry Cavill and his beloved character Geralt were the main focus of our final panel, as Henry and interviewer Josh Horowitz sat down for a long form one-on-one discussion about fantasy, family, and The Witcher.
